Yukon Rifle Scopes

Yukon Advanced Optics produces powerful spotting scopes. For instance, its 6-1000 x 100 is known as one of the industry’s most dynamic and ingenious. By using this, the user can view objects from 20 meters to several kilometers. This is due to its optimum magnification range (magnifying objects at least 6x to 100 times its original size).

Multi-coated lenses and extendable sunshade cut down glare considerably, making this ideal for daytime use. The user can switch from observing a nearby object using 25mm lens to viewing a faraway subject with a100mm lens. This is due to its two objective lenses that can be interchanged handily. Plus, its rotating eyepiece makes changing viewing angles convenient.

The Scout Series

Because of its affordability, the Scout series is one of the most popular spotting scopes in the Yukon Advanced Optics line. Mimicking a spyglass, the Scout spotting scope can be conveniently stretched to its maximum size and just as easily stored when overlapped. The eyepiece has rotating ability to refine the focus on objects that are magnified.

Although it’s designed to be carried, it’s also possible to be mounted on a tripod, further adding to its functions. This series does not have a compatible Yukon Advanced Optics tripod but the good news is any typical camera tripod will do.

Like Konus rifle scopes, these are priced at less than $150, this is one of a few daytime spotting scopes available at this price range, making it exceptionally affordable. And don’t be fooled by its cheap price, the scout is a very reliable and highly functional piece of optical gear. Some of its wonderful features are as follows: a 12 mm eye relief for eye strain prevention, a wide 54 m field of view and a 20 x magnification for close-up views.

The Scout is light and easy to handle even though it’s compact and sturdy. It also features a rubberized outer shell that is quite durable, ideal for some outdoor action as expected. For better handling, it has a collapsible body. Plus, it has optimum lenses that have the capacity to create high resolution images. For better image production, these multi-coated lenses are made with magnesium fluoride.

And of course, as a standard feature of Yukon Advanced Optics’ lines, lifetime warranty coverage is provided.

The spotting scope and telescope are distant cousins but are dissimilar from each other. The spotting scope uses smaller magnification, is very portable and significantly smaller. But it has a relatively powerful magnification capacity compared to other scopes with similar uses. Also, it produces an upright image unlike the telescope. There are numerous manufacturers of spotting scopes out there but one of the most reputable and well known companies is Yukon Advanced Optics.

Spotting Scopes

For observing landscapes and wildlife, spotting scopes are favorite instruments. These scopes are also made for birding, hunting and surveillance in general. They can be used for taking photographs too; they’re designed to be mounted on a camera.

Flexible Usage

Adaptability to cameras, particularly to digital ones is a quality that many Yukon’s spotting scopes have. By allowing the user to use it on cameras, the scope expands its use. The standard lenses of cameras pale in comparison to the powerful magnification of the spotting scopes. By using these scopes in cameras, excellent image quality production that can’t be obtained from standard camera lenses is now a possibility.

Yukon also manufactures tripods for mounting because spotting scopes use higher magnification than other optics. Usually, movements can cause hazy images especially if the spotting scope is handheld and may cause problems. Tripods that are specially designed come with specific scope series to prevent this.
